By CAR: Take the H1 freeway Westbound and continue, you will pass
the town of Kapolei, and K-Mart. Continue westbound, the road will
take you past the Kahe Power Plant, continue on this road and it
will take you into Nanakuli, continue into Mai'li and Wai'anae.
Farrington Hwy will take you past the Wai'anae Intermediate (on your
right). A little further, you will pass Wai'anae High School (on your
left). Change into the right lane and it will take you pass the 7-11
store on your right, turn right you will be on Makaha Valley Road,
the first left will take you into Lahaina Street. Continuing on this
road you will see a Makaha Elementary School sign, turn
right, the school will be directly in front of you, the farm will be
on your right. Enter through the gates, slowly, you will be in Hoa
'Aina O Makaha. Approximate driving time from Honolulu: 45 minutes
to 1hour depending on traffic.
By
BUS: Take bus C (Country Express) to Makaha. Get off at Water Street. Walk down Water Street
and take first right (Lahaina Street). Walk until you see the sign pointing
to Makaha Elementary School on the left. The farm is adjacent to the school. Approximate riding time
from downtown Honolulu: 90 minutes; walking from Water Street bus stop approximately 10 minutes.
